Our 2nd night together flew by! Not only did you take your first quiz, you also took DRT#1. Next week, during reading lab time you will have the opportunity to sign up to work with Abby, and I will begin individual conferences in regards to DRT #1.
As this week progresses, you will want to make sure you study your vocabulary words for ch. 8 & 9. Make sure you are writing sentences for each chapter (only 5 words based upon your last name).
You will also need to complete reading lab #2 (answer 1-10 and then discussion #3 and #4).
Take some time to review your notes about context clues and main ideas. Then, take a look at your syllabus and begin taking notes for the next section of Langan!
You should also set aside time this week to begin reading The Color of Water by James McBride. Be sure to annotate for character, setting, and events. That means underling and making notes in the book. The study guide will need to be completed as well (check the syllabus for the due date).
Don't forget to contact your team members to be thinking about your research. Who will research what? How will you present to the class (a visual must be created - and not on poster board)?
